(formerly KM Systems and Keane Monroe) and services Record and other fine automatic
door systems. Automatic entrances are generally used in public places where
large volumes of pedestrian traffic flow into and out of a facility over an
extended period of time - supermarkets, hospitals, libraries and airports are
good examples of common applications. Automatic sliding doors can present a
large entrance opening to the public (often nearly 7' wide when fully open)
yet open and close quickly to avoid unnecessary heat or cooling loss in temperature-controlled
environments. Automatic doors also help provide access for people with disabilities
and the elderly.
